Nordkapp - North Cape - Norway412 زيارةThe midnight sun (photographed at midnight) from the most northerly part of Europe. "The North Cape was named by English explorer Richard Chancellor in 1553 when he passed the cape in the search for a Northeast passage. From then on, it was occasionally visited by daring explorers who climbed the steep cliff face to the plateau; famous visitors include King Oscar II of Norway in 1873 and Thailand's King Chulalongkorn in 1907. Today, the North Cape is a major tourist attraction."

"Cooking for Dogs" - by Marjorie Walsh643 زيارةThe advance copies of the US and UK editions of "Cooking for Dogs" arrived from the UK publisher, New Holland, a week or so ago. The book is set to be distributed in September. Marjorie is waiting for her guest appearances on the David Letterman Show and for the book signing at Hatchard's with the lines down Piccadilly.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4027 زيارةWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.
